On August 22, 2013, in Beijing, the Xinzhegn (a kind of new instrument based on koto) concert was successfully held by China Orient Orchestra. With a total of 749 koto players playing the famous koto song of Fishing Boat in the Evening with new koto on site, it set the world record granted by the World Record Association for being the largest scale of new koto ensemble in the world.
